What is canvas?

There are many different kinds of canvas. Qtents uses several kinds of canvas for tents, including stretch canvas, sailcloth canvas and PVC canvas.
Canvas is fabric that is suitable for making tents and canopies; watertight integrity, UV filtration, storm-proofing and service life are important properties for canvas. Which canvas is used for your canopy depends on what you want.  A stretch canvas is suitable for flexible canopies and a sailcloth canvas works best for a rigid canopy. PVC canvas can also be used for rigid canopies. A three-dimensional design is needed for both a PVC canvas and a sailcloth canvas, while a sketch or two-dimensional design will suffice for a stretch canvas canopy.

Canvas for canopies

Qtents is a one-stop-shop for your bespoke canvas canopy. At Qtents, we have our own R&D and engineering department who, at your request, will design a bespoke canvas for you. The design for the canvas will be based on your personal wishes and what is possible in your situation. Once you have approved the design, it will be prepared for production. Using highly advanced equipment, we will cut the lengths of canvas we need to size. Then, the pieces of fabric are welded together by means of high-frequency welding. In Qtents’ warehouse, all the necessary appurtenances are collected together, then we get the entire order ready for shipping. If you like, Qtents’ team of fitters will mount the canvas for you. Of course, you can mount the canvas yourself.

Do you want a printed canvas?
Custom-printed canvases are available too. For example, you could have your logo printed on your canvas. You can also commission us to print a design of your own making on the canvas.
